The PDF Changes Module
The PDF Changes module is used to further post-process the PDF created in the workflow. Changes can be made to the resolution and image quality of Jpeg images embedded in PDF files and specific pages of the document can be removed. The settings of the module cannot be made on the device interface.
Only PDF files can be input to the module. The module passes on other file types without modification.

The module can occur several times in the workflow.

It makes sense to set scan destinations as the follow-up module.

No restrictive modules.

You can specify the Jpeg quality in percent between 1 and 100. Compression with the JPG algorithm is applied to the image as it is in the PDF file (this may already be compressed).

Specify by what factor the resolution should be reduced. The default factor of 2.5 reduces a 300dpi image to 120dpi (300 : 2.5 = 120).

This value is a condition that must be true for the reduction of quality and/or resolution to be performed at all. The short edge of the image must have at least the specified number of pixels for this. If the pixel count of the short edge of the image is smaller than the pixel value specified here, no change will be made to the PDF.

This setting allows you to remove specific pages from the created documents. In the Page Selection field, page numbers or page ranges can be entered; if more than one entry is required, they must be separated by a semicolon.
Examples:
1;4-6 Page one and pages four to six are removed.
1-3;9-11 The first three pages and pages nine to eleven are removed.
It is possible to use variables (e.g. also from zone scans or interview inputs). Please note that the variable value must correspond to the specifications for the field content, see Variables.
Using the Page Scheme field, the even or odd pages can be removed depending on the selection made.

The ImageService processes image data (e.g. from scans) and performs file format conversions, image optimization and the OCR function. It stores files in desired destination directories (depending on the module used, the rights of the user executing its application pool are used for this purpose). Its log file is Logs\ImageService.log.
